                                                                                                              page-262 THE TWELVE SEASONS

January is the month of newness
A lazy breeze on a warm clear night
February is the month of peace
Bees collect pollen from golden wattle
March is the month of solitude
Grasshoppers dance in thick warm clover
April is the month of change
Animals test the air for signs of cool weather
May is the month of memories
An old rusty rake sleeps by autumn's leaves of colour
June is the month of silence
A clock ticks slowly grey clouds cry
July is the month of tranquility
Jack frost chuckles in the moonlight
August is the month of winds
Waves white caps under clearing skies
September is the month of birth
Apple blossoms sent the air with their fragrance
October is the month of noise
Night crickets welcoming song of summer
November is the month of storms
Electrical portraits in the warm dusk air
December is the month of heat
Kookaburra's laugh through a warm sweet sunset.
