8 'o' clock
Into bed
Ready for the
Day ahead

9 'o' clock
Still awake
Wonder what pills
He should take

10 'o' clock
Just can't sleep Sick and tired
Of counting sheep

11 'o' clock
Light sleep starts
Wakes back up
At quarter past

12 'o' clock
Midnight struck
1 warm glass of milk
Electric blanket up

1 'o' clock
Start to cough
Hot and sweaty
Blanket off

2 'o' clock
Sits up in fright
Scuttling noises
Cockroach fight

3 'o' clock
Eyes black and red
Reaches for light switch
Bumps his head

4 'o' clock
The garbage can
Keeps awake
This desperate man

5 'o' clock
Kneel and pray
Decides an overdose
Is the only way 6 'o' clock
Still alive
Head is buzzing
Like a bee hive

7 'o' clock
Alarm clock blast
Sound asleep
Content at last.
