33. The Poverty Of The Jumping Cows
The Barkly Tablelands, is Australian Macdonalds grazing land,
There are bone thin cows & calves, for hundreds of kilometres,
adapted to jumping up into trees, for dragging down high leaves.
Sandy outback red, blended in before they hit the dust as skulls.
The ribs of living cows grown twisted, tired, like desert driftwood.
Old dusty horns splintering at the head, no water, no shade,
simply starvation, the heat, what they shit & what they eat. |
