75. if someone commits enough murders, they will eventually be found out
the drain pipes had been blocked for five days, plugged up by a thick glutinous porridge, i had been called upon to investigate, i proceeded to dredge up about forty pieces of a whitish-grey substance from the plumbing in the kitchen sink, i then moved through the house into the bedroom, in the wardrobe i found five large plastic bags, the first held the side of a chest, the second bag contained the right side of a chest & arm, the third a torso with no arms, legs or a head & the fourth a mixture of human offal, in the fifth black bag two heads & another torso with arms attached but hands missing, one head had the flesh boiled away, the gas cooker in the kitchen heavily caked with grease from human fat, buried beneath the garden was human ash, teeth, fragments of bone & a body that sat up in the ground, i pushed back the hair & the dream from the eyes was permanent glass, it was wearing my closed lips & bent neck shoved down, it had the same coloured hair & my expression had set in firm around the nose, i realised that they were all the same body, the house was stuffed with the death of me, yet i kept discovering myself before i left, & how they had murdered me bit by bit, they had covered up their tracks & hid the evidence expertly, but if someone commits enough murders, they will eventually be found out, what surprises me is that i still managed to leave as the person i am today, i believe that in getting away from a situation such as this one, no matter how old you are, or how many murders have been committed, you will be very lucky, it will always be a close shave or just in the nick of time |
