                                                                                                              page-274 Vodka, Oranges And Lemons

Vodka, oranges and lemons
and it wasn't saint clements
when will you pay me
asked the barman quiet gay-ley
from norm came a croak
no money i'm broke
scotch, speed and bailey
i'd prefer if you laid me
smoking grass gives me hives
says norm of saint ives
whatever was in that beer
set the mood for sharon's ear
spreadwell spread thin
with that predictable grin
pauline stayed sober
in case the cops pulled her over
but she still laughed alot
stoned beforehand on pot
maggie was randy
after her double brandy
she was laughing and falling
naughty dope pusher pauline
nola went home
bad luck all alone
i thought i would sick up
over pauline's blonde pick up
so i said we were married
pauline, norm, i and gary
pauline's date ran away
though norm hoped he would stay
so he turned to diane
said i'm your kind of man
diane said, i'll come home with you
but can the four kids come too
norm eagerly nodded his head
are they any good in bed
appropriate for norm
the club was called the big horn
then what can one say
when norm went for kay
i wonder what he felt
stirring under his belt
and that saturday at dawn
we all wished we weren't born
no steak bacon and egg
we stayed hung over in bed
but the worst off was norm
still sprawled on the lawn
so coral's reputation was clean
she went home with pauline
without a good man
a girl's got to get what she can!
