                                                                                                              page-208 THE RATTLE SNAKE

As quick as lightning the rattle snake strikes
Its poisonous venom parallising
To whom it is jealous and to whom it dislikes
It's hardly very surprising

The rattle snake is a beautiful thing
Filled with heart and evil
What more displeasure will it bring
For the good hearted and the feeble

Its sparkling smile, its rattling tail
This character is indeed a fake
This creature will use the poor and the frail
It's out for what it can get and take

If the rattle snake bites you
And you have a heart honest and pure
If you let the rattlesnake hurt you
Your heart will be broken for sure
