Whoosh! Bang! Before my eyes!
Fire crackers fill the skies
Liked by children and adults alike
But for my dog they were no delight

Crackling bonfires light up the lands
Tiny tots, sparklers in their hands
How my dog would hate to see
Them light the crackers filled with glee

Noisy crackers, a giant white flare
The smell of smoke fills the air
My dog would wait with hate and fright
For morning to end the torturing night

Morning comes, lightening skies
The sounds of crackers fades and dies
Peace and tranquility returns quite fast
This fire cracker night was his last

Whoosh! Bang! Before my eyes!
Fire crackers fill the skies
And as I stare with brightly lit eyes
I see a peaceful grave
Where my old dog lies.
