page-140 THE KING OF THE NIGHT

The old black tom has been
Here for years
Theres not one thing that
Black cat fears
The black kings domain
Is guarded well
The cats who dare challenge him
Died and fell
The strangest of all for the king
It would seem
He has never mated nor
Had a queen
He rules the rooves, gutters
And streets
His taste is for mince, birds
And meats
When the king is dead
And forgotten
He'll remember how man has
Treated him rotten
His dismal cry will haunt the night
Man is a foe he must
Constantly fight
If he wishes to rule
As king of the night.
