... I look out of my window
and I feel a sullen sunset
those faces drifting down the path
they leave me all alone..
i go back to my bedroom
to write a song of sadness
blue oceans of isolation
an unsung melody
In a room of voiceless laughter
I fear to venture closer
in case the cold crowd turn their backs
leaving me alone..
When the day is touching warmly
the path of life before me
like a youthful summer infant
I kick some playful stones..
Where the trees are narrow twisted
some faceless voice insisted
that the restless sea inside me
washes hopelessly my soul..
The daily tasks performed by me
a dull ritual of security
with a hand not really worthy
a hand that's not my own..
A guitar stands numbly by me
my senses swim with melody
But an empty street before me lies
like a lovesong sung alone ...
