As I look out from Katoomba
Towards the end of day
The three sisters smile in the distance
In a friendly sort of way Across the valley falls shadows
Shades of greens and blues
The light sky rapidly darkens
Forming a deep purple hue A cold wind nips my nose
And whispers to the trees
Katoomba sprays a mist
In and out the leaves Along the great dividing range
Katoomba is at rest
The cold wind turns down the valley
And tickles the mountains crest The stars smile down at Katoomba
The nights are cool and mild
A half moon watches over this place
Where the landscape is free and wild.
