in bordering lands
edged with dawns,
streams, fish, pebble-
bubbles, sunlit-wings
hovering, reeds, shivery
breezy. fluff-clouds.
blue days for songs.
she wakes up
with first-light.
all-iris and green-
wonderment.
twisty mornings
never captured
hardly seen. she
darts. she flickers.
eyes of merriment
and ears for
mischief. never
stays long.
skewif-tooth, gold
and electric. She
flies. She shines.
she stares. She
hides. She comes.
she is silence. stars.
brief interludes.
spot the faery.
she toffees, like sap.
trickling-gold. of
old-bark. trees so
still. still as quiet.
what attracts?
gentle-men, children
walking-boots in
her direction, kindly-
wishes, lonely-ways
silver in your pocket
blue jays. tinkling-
streams. your song
your human-heart
and curious eyes.
glazed with learning.
sad with knowing, old
with fear. come here.
oh. come here.
she-alert, as birds
butterflies. big
powdery-moths.
many caves, many
hides. a dance.
she eludes your
gaze. inescapable-
darkness. limits
of consciousness.
show her your
stone. bring her
hills, sunshine, coins,
kind-hands, wind
sparkling-trinkets,
tracks, overgrown.
she remains. only
through hypnosis.
you are her
fountain, of wings-
moistened, dipped
into, play her
she plays you
alone, directionless.
you wake older, giddy,
silly, oddly-green.
she is gone. wood,
