THE BABY THAT EATS FIVE PEOPLE
in this world
five hundred million people go hungry every day
in this world -
four hundred thousand children die from hunger
every day
not again i say - all that suffering
all those lives -
the amazon forest being hambuggerised
it's enough to turn me off a steak & fries
but i like my meat -
in this world ninety-five percent
of the soya bean harvest - one of the greatest
sources of protein
in this world -
is used to fatten animals - in turn to fatten
ourselves - that's ninety-five percent
not again i say i can't afford to pay the rent
in this world - not again -
there is enough land to grow food - & for
every living thing - for every kilo of meat protein
that is produced - in this world
twenty kilos of vegetable protein could have
fed someone
like myself - but hungrier -
not again i say it's not that simple
the vegetarian lifestyle
in this world
the third world is a sucked out nipple -
for my western child that eats five people. |
