your great disappearance/ your exit from the continent/
we can't remake a river for your release/ our water-devil
dream of you suspended in a tank/ your big whiskered
face and a stare that cuts through glass/ your safe water
box of bubble and filter from this dying river/ mulloka
what have they done?/ the zoos are full of native fish/
the waterways full of chemicals/ mulloka the last clean
river swam through you and they have managed to catch
it/ mulloka where can you swim?/ i'm so tired of crying/
they feed you to the tourists alive/ and blow you up inside
a bottle like a ship) |
