                                                                                                              page-244 STORM

A distant rumble of thunder
Towards the close of day
The chain reaction of lightning
Warns a storm is on its way

The once blue sky now darkens
As the black clouds like bees swarm
There is no sign of hail or rain
As this is an electrical storm

The sheet and chain lightning form pictures
They light up horizons in the sky
The evil sky gives one last grumble
And away the black powder puffs fly

The quiet heat returns to the night
The storm leaves the land thirsty and dry
And onwards the storm advances
As the wind helps the trees wave goodbye.
