I want to go home to my old house
I want to sleep in my bed once more
I want to feel secure and carefree
Just as it was before
I want to catch lizzards in summer
To count the stars at night
I want to sneak biscuits to my dog
Knowing everything's alright
Please, can we go back home now
My heartbreak hasn't improved
Please, I want to go back there now
It's been five long years since we've moved
I want to go back to my old place
I want to sleep in my bed...
And it tears at my heart to see
Those strangers living happily there
When it really should be me
....Because that was our home
Where so many memories remain
But now to stare in, through adult tears
Hopes hang stubbornly and stain
I want to go back.
I want to go home,
From a waking dream I've had
I clutch at the lawn, and they drag me away
From my childhood, my house and my dad...
