Those fleeting moments
We laugh and play
Think not of tomorrow
Only of today
For today is exciting
The world is bright
Hopes and dreams
A warm teddy at night
But slowly the happiness
Passes away
You walk by the haunts
Where you used to play
You think not of today
Only of tomorrow
To live in the past
Brings too much sorrow
You can never return
Or recapture
Those memories that
Fade away
And as you desperately
Reach for the family album
The photos have begun to decay
You search through the dust
And cobwebs
Choking with despair
In the corner quietly, sadly
Sits a lonely one-eyed bear
