There is my idol
There is my God
As I fall from the tree
In a cluster of leaves
I hope he will see
The pattern it weaves and
Will finally come to me

How can I be noticed
Amongst thousands of others
With their pushing, their jeering
And screaming that smothers
I will be trampled into the ground
Before by my idol I'm to be found
I don't want to be the same as
Everybody else

How can I be noticed by the
Person/s I praise before
One giant rake brings the
End to my days
I want to be heard
To cream out loud
But to my idol I'm just
Another autumn leaf
Just one in the crowd.
