CORAL HULL: REED-SONG: EARLY POEMS: VOL 3
                                                                                                              page-160 LUNACY 3.30AM

Round moon shone in an opal sky
A child lay frightened in the dark
A burgular in the house next door
A mutilated body in the park
Two mating cats
A rabid dog
A rapist waiting in the fog
A drunken husband
Fear in the home
A pale faced addict
Walks alone
Two quiet headlamps
A solitary drive
A teenage daughter dreams suicide
Two solemn eyes stare into space
Behold the cold moons melancholy face.
