                                                                                                                page-98 THE FORGOTTEN FLOWER

A golden ray of sunlight
Kissed by an April shower
And a new life has begun
The opening of a flower
The flower opens her friendly arms
To everyone around
Only to be forgotten
Misused and thrown around
The flower may seem happy
Full of mirth and cheers
But this flower has a heart
Full of unseen tears
A flower needs love and care
To fill a longing heart
Are they being fair
Neglecting on their part
The flower would have liked to ask
For a true friend's kindly hand
Receive and give in return
But they wouldn't understand
What's happening to the flower
It's deteriorating fast
Could it be your fault
For a thoughtless uncaring past
The flowers leaves have wilted
The flowers heart lays dead
The flower is a vegetable
Planted in a bed.
