                                                                                                                page-67 DOG ABUSE

In the dark streets and alleys
Where no-one can hear
Small animals hearts
They are thumping with fear

They are bashed and bruised
Abused and beaten
Only the lucky die fast
The others alive, by maggots are eaten

Their eyes swell with tears and hurt
Their legs are broken
They are smothered with dirt
A human superiority token

They suffer in silence
Their sad eyes, they brood
They are hung, they are butchered
And are sold as fast food

Let this poem a lesson
To all dogs be, your lucky
That your man's best friend
And not his worst enemy.
