                                                                                                                page-61 DEAR GOD

Just give me a sign
That you may exist
A gust of wind, an angel's kiss
Just any sign and I shall believe
So that my tired soul needn't grieve
Love me dear God
Leave me not alone
Steal my soul and take me home
Let me not in darkness dwell
Love me Lord and make me well
Please dear God, exist in me
Take my soul and set it free
Open to you as a budding flower
Have me in this darkest hour
Show me that you are really there
Save me from doubt
Which breeds despair
Teach me faith and make me strong
As nagging suspicion
Sings an empty song
Dearest God, I can't feel your son
Scared to die, but nowhere to run
To live a life, that's free of care
Dear Lord, be my Shepherd
And lead me there.
