As the teacher in a dull lit room
Explains old facts about English
My seeking eyes leave the boredom and gloom
And I began to wish...
That I lived on a farm
Beyond the fertile hills
With a house made of oak, an old red barn
Water tanks and turning windmills
Chooks to feed and chores to be done
Out where you're free, time for fun
Up in an apple tree, reaching the sky
Climbing and shouting
Laze by a stream
Swimming and trouting
Just like a dream
BANG! Sounds the duster on the desk
Standing straight and tall
The farm has gone, and with it my thoughts
It was just a daydream after all
