                                                                                                                page-35 CITY VS BUSH

In the bush there's kangaroos
Snakes, lizzards, cockatoos
In the city we have noise
Trucks, cars, girls and boys In the bush is often heard
The calling of the butcher bird
In the city flying high
Aeroplanes fill the sky In the cities a water supply?
How about when the bush runs dry?
Its your bad luck when there's a drought
Cause then your food supply runs out In the city we have money
We live on sugar, milk and honey
In the bush we have land
We live on damper, tea and ham In the city there's computers, dreams
The city has huge machines
The city has power, factories, trains
The bush, nothing, useless plains How long will your power last?
Your petrol and fuel are running out fast
When the city has used up its power
Don't come and squat on the wildflower.
