CORAL HULL: POETRY INSPIRED BY THE LORD OF THE RINGS
I LOVED GOLLUM AT EMYN MUIL

8.

As for Gollum, he was a lingering crime.
Yet he snivelled and wept like a victim.
Creeping away on his old webbed feet,
eyes glinting, for fish as cold as his life.

He said, "Yess. We wants all of you, ...
we swears, we wants to be inside the Master
and the preciousss, we bes nice to the ring if the
ring bes nice to hims, Auch! Gollum! ..."

I drew my sword and stood aghast.
"Don't touch me, you vile creature!"

I went to strike this damnation dead,
but I stopped myself for we were the one,
bound by the perfect ring of Sauron.
