CORAL HULL: IN THE DOG BOX OF SUMMER
TELL THE WOMEN

tell the woman to go to her home/
tell the women to lock their doors
to keep the violence out/
tell the women to wear sensible clothes
whilst riding bikes in the dark/
tell the women to ride sensible
bikes/ whilst wearing clothes in the dark/
tell the women to wear sensible clothes
in the dark & in the daylight/
particularly in the afternoons/
tell the women to wear clothes/
to be sensible in the dark/
tell the women to stay at home
during daylight/ particularly at night/
tell the women to lock their doors/
tell the women to run to their cars
in stockings & high heels/ tell
the women not to fumble with the keys/
tell the woman to go to her home/
to unlock the door/ to dress
sensibly/ not to fumble/ with
the keys/ to be as sensible
as possible/ to lock the door
behind her/
later that night her husband rapes her
